Entering GLOBE Data

Follow these steps to login and enter data on GLOBE.

1. Login to the GLOBE web site:

http://www.globe.gov

2. In order to enter data, you must login as a registered school. Click on the GLOBE Schools Login

3. You will get a dialog box (below) where you will enter your school’s name and password. Get the information from your teacher.

4. When you have successfully logged in, you should see your school name on the web page.

5. To enter data, click on Data Entry on the navigation sidebar menu.

6. On the next page, hold the pointer over the Hydrology link. A small diaglog box will open. Click on the Hydrology Measurements link.

7. You are now at the data entry point. On the first of these pages, you will need to enter the following:

The time needs to be in Universal Time (UT). To convert the time, add 7 hours to the current time. If data was taken in the afternoon, add 12 to the time to make it a 24 hour clock. For example, if it is now 1:00 PM the UT time is 20:00 (1:00 + 7 + 12).

8. Click on proceed. You will now be able to enter the data for your first testing date.

9. Repeat the process for each testing date.
