Carmen-Smith Hydroelectric ProjectThe Carmen-Smith Project diverts the flow of the McKenzie River from Carmen Resevoir to Smith Resevoir. The water is stored and then released to provide peak use electrical generation. |

Museum of Natural HistoryThe Tale of Two Rivers project was awarded a federal grant from the Institute of Museum Services to develop a prototype exhibit for the Natural History Museum. Teams from each participating school learned about museum displays, nature photography, etc. and designed the exhibit. Click here to see more information about the museum grant class. The exhibit featured two movies: A Tale of Two Rivers - A brief history and overview of the project and how the museum exhibit came to be developed. A Flood of Emotions - Students from Cal Young interview different stakeholders about the effects of flooding. |
