Exploring the McKenzie Watershed

A joint project of Eugene Water & Electric Board and Eugene School District 4J in Eugene, Oregon

This project was developed to support classroom excursions into the McKenzie watershed in conjunction with an EWEB research grant involving three Oregon school districts, called Tale of Two Rivers (secondary school)/ Virtual Eugene (elementary school).

For three years, from 1995 - 1998, students have ventured into the watershed, conducted research and gained an appreciation and understanding of the watershed as a system.

This field trip guide was launched in September, 1997 with the hope and expectation that exploration of the watershed will continue beyond the scope of the granting period.
