Life's a river, the ceaseless flow of all created things.

A Tale of Two Rivers was a cooperative project between
the Eugene 4J school district and the Eugene Water and Electric Board
(EWEB) to develop integrated curriculum based on the study of selected
sites along the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers. From 1994-2005, students
learned about watersheds, energy generation and conservation, ecology,
climate, inhabitants and the interactions within the system. A recent
cut in funding from EWEB has forced us to eliminate this program.
Certain aspects of the the program will remain: raising salmon in
the classroom and salmon spawning trips. For this reason, this site
will continue to be maintained.
For schools that are continuing to test water quality
on their own and wish to post their data on GLOBE, we have kept
the following links active.
