The EWE Grant provides middle school classrooms with all of the materials and curriculum to teach students about using solar panels to provide power to their team built race cars. Teachers are provided with an electric car kit which allows students to learn about gearing a car for speed and power. In addition, students build solar race cars and the top car in each class advances to the Annual Solar Challenge Race at Cal Young Middle School.
